Banned Book Week Continues!!

Here is a list of books I have read and enjoyed. The books on this list have either been banned at some place or some time or challenged. What would we do without great books?

As I Lay Dying (1932)
by William Faulkner

Catcher in the Rye (1951)
by J. D. Salinger

Grapes of Wrath (1939)
by John Steinbeck

Lord of the Flies
by William Golding

The Color Purple
Alice Walker

Heart of Darkness
Joseph Conrad

Naked Lunch
William S. Burroughs

Tropic of Cancer
Henry Miller

A Clockwork Orange
Anthony Burgess

Slaughterhouse Five
Kurt Vonnegut

Of Mice and Men
John Steinbeck

The list goes on and on...

According to ALA, at least 42 of the Radcliffe Publishing Course Top 100 Novels of the 20th Century have been the target of ban attempts.
