It is the small things

I had one of those days with The Collective.

It has been a pretty quiet day. they have behaved decently so far.

It started at the gym, Sir Rowland was recognized by a peer, and asked to play. And while I stood there sort of suprised. He was not.

Pink Ninja, got 2 ballerina movies at the library. She got 1 Dr. Suess book, and the 2 movies and sat down at a table and read.

Sir Rowland, got a book on the immune system, gravity, and the Atlantic ocean.

We spent the rest of the morning in the library, at story-time.

When I called DH with a report of the morning, he asked how The Collective fared. I was glad to report this.

"They were pretty good, there were naughtier kids there."

That seems like a horrid way to measure behavior. I know, but when you have children less than 2 years apart. You spend ages 0-appearently now, trying to stay at least 3 steps ahead of them.

Tis no longer a full time job, and I am amazed at them.

Dash sat and crafted at the table, cutting his own groundhog out of paper. He stayed in the lines.

Pink Ninja made alligators using her hands in the light of the overhead projector.

It really is the small things when you are a Mom.

They even put the laundry in the laundry room!!
