While we are out of door, making this very leafy snowman, we had about 100 female cardinals visit. They were everywhere. The trees, and in my holly bushes, everywhere. They were sweet.

I've never seen more than one female cardinal at a time. I always see male/female pairs. I thought cardinals were very territorial and did not flock. Maybe they're adolescents.
I also never see cardinals just sitting out in the open like that. They are usually at least half hidden in the brush or a tree.
Very cool.
