Day to day diary of a 40 year old working mother. Recipes, ocassional attempts at humor, family photos.
We had a family member in building 7 that day. His written account of what happened to him was harrowing and I'm sure it still haunts him.I wonder if the wives of firefighters watched these videos searching for the faces of their husbands as I think I would be prone to doing it.I don't want to be disrespectful of those who performed acts of service yesterday; I'm sure lots of good work was done. However, when you look at this video, you see the American spirit which is to jump in, ready or not, stand in th gap and get dirty. We don't need to be told to volunteer; we don't see this as 'service.' If there is a job to be done, we do it. Period. That's how I was raised and I don't need to have my horn tooted when I do things.God bless every single soul who lived ot tell their stories and those who are still trying to guess what it was like for their loved ones who didn't.
