Gustav Klimt. Possibly my FAVORITE artist, although I cannot pick a favorite piece. I have three framed poster prints hanging in my home, and want more. I would love to see an original. Must wait to get to New York, or Vienna. Has anyone that reads my blog seen any of his original work? Please leave me a note if you have, tell me about it. I have only seen prints and cannot imagine the detail and beauty of the originals.
I am thrilled to find out they are making a film of Gustav Klimts life. I assume his family gave permission for the production of this, and I am grateful to them.
I think he captures the beauty and frailty of physical being, and the trasendence of the spirit.
