The most horrible, disgusting, heartbreaking, news item I have read in months....

13 year old rape victim, tried under Sharia Law and was stoned to death after being forced into a hole and buried up to her neck....while 1,000 watched.

I encourage you to read the entire story....and pray

And the permeation continues...

ISLAMIC law has been officially adopted in Britain, with sharia courts given powers to rule on Muslim civil cases.

The government has quietly sanctioned the powers for sharia judges to rule on cases ranging from divorce and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence.

Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court.

Previously, the rulings of sharia courts in Britain could not be enforced, and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims.

It has now emerged that sharia courts with these powers have been set up in London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester with the network’s headquarters in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Two more courts are being planned for Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Sheikh Faiz-ul-Aqtab Siddiqi, whose Muslim Arbitration Tribunal runs the courts, said he had taken advantage of a clause in the Arbitration Act 1996.

Under the act, the sharia courts are classified as arbitration tribunals. The rulings of arbitration tribunals are binding in law, provided that both parties in the dispute agree to give it the power to rule on their case.

Siddiqi said: “We realised that under the Arbitration Act we can make rulings which can be enforced by county and high courts. The act allows disputes to be resolved using alternatives like tribunals. This method is called alternative dispute resolution, which for Muslims is what the sharia courts are.”

I find it curiously telling that the headline refers to this victim as a "young woman." In my mind, young woman is at least 19 or 20 NOT 13.

I'm growing impatient with this whole job situation. I NEED to make money NOW so I can get my daughter out of Africa...you know?

Wondering if you know anyone who can help me build my website on which I will be asking 4000 people to loan me $5? :)

they're letting the sharia court RULE ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES -- like the "adultery of a 13 yr old girl"??? isn't domestic violence a CRIME in the UK?? you can't arbitrate criminal matters in the U.S. -- because it's considered an offense against the STATE and not an individual cause of action! (That's why it's always the "State of ___ v. [defendant])

is there any oversight of results by the British Courts???

G-d help us all (but especially the British -- whom I always credited with having more sense than this...)

Wht I meant was, nothing of the sort is happening in the UK. It's all propaganda. Domestic violence is a crime here. Regardless of who or wht religion you are.

Sharia Law here, I don't think so! One can not believe all one reads.

No there is not. The is only British Law. Those so called mulsim and their Sharia law is done between themselves. Yes, they have killed in the name of Sharia law, which is usually the men in the family who are the judge, jury and executioner, but they themselves are also jailed by the British law system for their Sharia law. In the UK murder is murder. Domestic violence is Domestic violence. If it's reported or found out you get done for it. A lot of the time fear stops the muslims females from reporting it. Fear from their men. Sharia law dont stand in this country. Do you really think if a woman is cought having an affair and she is put on trail by Shaira law and found guilty and her punishment is death by stoning. Do you think the British law courts will allow it or not be able to stop it. Futhermore it will not ever happen. Again I say one can not believe all wht is written. In Somalia yes, tht is their law.
