The other day after the torrential downpour...
I note ants. Foraging ants, not the water type.
We have Terro granules out of doors, and the little Terro pads on the inside.

I, too, have been battling ants. I wish you a swift victory.
I don't mind ants. Lived with lots of them in Hawaii. But I draw the line at slugs. I hope one never sneaks into your house. Found a tiny one on my carpet once even though all my doors were shut. Ewwww! Lots of them outside today because of the rainy weather. I don't see any inside ... yet.
We had a fire ant invasion in our house once. That sucked.
