Kilmer is part and parcel of the Santa Fe crowd. Santa Fe, New Mexico is stuck in the perpetual adolescent mode of living in the past with rich artsy/fartsy types pimping off the noble savage schtick.
Northern New Mexico is a beautiful place geographically made ugly by those in search of a utopia found in the vortex of their self-hating egos.
Kilmer is a victim of his own pride and arrogance steeped in Hollywood hype and studio propaganda as P.R.
